Toyota Go Anywhere terrian simulator

The Toyota Go Anywhere Terrain Simulator is designed to immerse individuals in various terrains and weather conditions at iconic locations such as Moab, Yellowstone, and Joshua Tree National Parks. This simulator showcases the capability of Toyota vehicles by navigating diverse landscapes and aims to inspire more people to consider purchasing trucks and SUVs for outdoor exploration and to fully enjoy all that nature has to offer.

In the center of the NYC auto show sits a cylindrical room with a dome ceiling covered in plants and natural features. Inside the cylindrical room sits a Toyota 4Runner, slightly raised off the ground. The participants start their adventure by getting into all the seats of the 4Runner and are greeted by a Park Ranger on an interactive display on the center console. The intensity is chosen, and the driver is told to press the gas pedal and hang on. The surrounding area is a garage in NYC. The car jolts back as if accelerating, and the participants are transported to Yellow Stone National Park. The steering wheel turns down the road in front of them, and the car is shaking, rumbling, and moving. As snowy Yellowstone views surround the participants, a cold breeze and snowfalls surround the vehicle. They are also greeted with smells of pine and Douglas fir, and they pass Old Faithful, and the sulfur smell is dispersed. While the scents fill the room, so do the sounds of animals, especially wolves howling and Old Faithful blowing up. The outside then transitions to Everglades National Park at night time. The vehicle's lights go on, and the participants slowly crawl through the swamp. Then rain starts to fall on the car, and there are sounds of thunder, alligators bellowing, and frogs croaking. There are also water splashing sounds as the vehicle traverses and the animals flop around in the water. The smell of the ever-glades is very swampy, and smells of decay fill the room. The scene then transitions to Moab National Park, specifically Hell's Gate. The vehicle ascends up the trail and leans back to 45 degrees, shaking and rattling. The wildlife and car engine sounds are loud, and the outside heat intensifies. Earthy Juniper smells fill the air and there is a cool dry breeze. The vehicle finally reaches the top of the trial and levels out. The scene then transitions to the Mesquite Flat dunes in Death Valley National Park. The engine starts roaring, and the vehicle jolts forward and back, going through the Baja dunes. The room gets hotter, and the breeze starts to kick up. Below the car, participants notice sand being kicked up around the car as if thrown from the wheels. The sounds of sheep, mountain lions, and bobcats are also heard, and the salty smell of the landscape fills the air. The surrounding areas transition away, and participants are back at the garage.
